Codex

Give Codex Cua Driver to use the apps on your computer, and Cua Spaces to work in computers you can watch.

Codex (CLI, IDE and app) can use both Cua products: Cua Driver for the apps on the computer it runs on, and Cua Spaces for other computers.

Cua Driver#

cua-driver mcp-config --client codex prints the command to register Cua Driver, codex mcp add cua-driver -- <path> mcp. Run it, then restart Codex. Codex's own approval policy also applies. See Connect your agent for the skill, permissions and the other clients.

Cua Spaces#

cua agents setup --agents codex --yes adds the cua skills and MCP server to Codex, and the Cua Spaces app does the same on first run. To add it by hand:

codex mcp add cua -- cua daemon mcp

Codex signs in with your ChatGPT account on its own, with codex login. Cua never reads or copies that sign-in. See Connect your agent to Cua Spaces and Give your agent Spaces.
